Xavier Johnson and Eileen Gehring were named CU Athletes of the Week on Wednesday for their athletic accomplishments the week of Dec. 9-15.

The CU track and field team had several athletes compete on Friday afternoon at the U.S. Air Force Academy Holiday Open.

Jason DeWitt and Brittany Lewis finished first overall at Orediggers Early Bird Multi in the pentathlon and heptathlon, respectively, to record a successful first meet for the University of Colorado track program.

For the third straight year, CU Cross Country coach Mark Wetmore has been named the Pac-12 Men's Coach of the Year

Mark Wetmore has been named the USTFCCCA Bill Dellinger National Men's Coach of the Year.

The University of Colorado men's cross country team captured its fourth such national championship in school history, coming from behind throughout the race to end up on top in cold and windy conditions here at the LaVerne Gibson Cross Country Course.

The 2013 NCAA XC Championships are on Saturday and the No. 3 CU men and No. 5 CU women will be competing for the team title.

Rachel Viger has once again been selected to the Pac-12 Cross Country All-Academic First Team, her third straight appearance, as announced on Wednesday.
