Abby Nichols, a senior at Colorado, took third in the women's 6-kilometer race at the NCAA Division 1 Mountain Regional at Timpanogos Golf Club in Provo, Utah. Nichols, the Pac-12 individual champion, clocked 20:22.5 to lead five Buffaloes in the top 30 to finish second overall with 83 points and advance to the Division 1 championship meet Nov. 20 at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla. Colorado won the Pre-Nationals on Oct. 15 at the same venue.
